Coach Ryan has been a deputy in Pittsylvania County for 12 years. In 2021 he decided to improve himself physically and tactically by trying out Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and joined the Forge team. Once he started training BJJ he was hooked and it became a family affair, with his wife and children also training. He is now a blue belt and continues to better himself by training BJJ and kettlebells. Ryan also enjoys instructing in the Fundamentals and youth classes and, together with Coach Kaleb, leads the Self Defense Program at Forge.
